It is one of the seven Mukthi Sthala’s (salvation), The temple is dedicated to Goddess Mookambika, believed to be an incarnation of Goddess Parvati, Saraswati, and Mahalakshmi

Proceeding to Udupi
Padubidri Blue Flag Beach : Awarded the prestigious Blue Flag certification, Padubidri Beach is recognized for its cleanliness, environmental management, and sustainable tourism practices.

Kapu beach : Known for its scenic beauty, Kaup Beach features a historic lighthouse built in 1901, offering panoramic views of the coastline.

Udupi shree Krishna temple : Founded by saint Madhvacharya, this temple is famous for the unique “Navagraha Kindi” window through which devotees view the idol of Lord Krishna.

Uchila Mahalaxmi temple : A coastal temple dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshmi, it is believed to fulfill wishes related to wealth and family prosperity, especially for the fishing community.

Malpe Island : A group of small islands off the coast of Udupi, known for their white sand beaches and unique basalt rock formations. The island is also associated with Vasco da Gama’s first landing in India.

Malpe sea walk : A scenic walkway that extends into the sea, offering panoramic views of Malpe Beach and the surrounding islands. The area features statues and artefacts, enhancing the visitor experience.

St Mary’s island: Famous for its unique hexagonal basalt rock formations and pristine beaches, St. Mary’s Island is a popular tourist destination. It is accessible by a 30-minute ferry ride from Malpe Beach.
