Day 1 : Cochin-Munnar (arrival)**4:10hrs (126.6 Km) Arrival at Cochin and transfer to Munnar. Munnar is 1800 meters above sea level & also the place of South India’s highest peak (Anamudi-2695 Mts). On the way visit Valara, Cheeyappara waterfalls & amp: Tea Plantations. Check-in at Hotel. Afternoon visit Rajamala (Eravikulam National Park – open as per the directions by the forest authorities ), the best place to see Nilgiri Tahr (Hermitragus Hilarious)- the mountain goat of South India & amp: Tea Museum. In the evening has a short visit to Munnar town. You can see the beautiful tea estates like a green paradise. Overnight stay at Munnar. Valara waterfalls Valara features a chain of waterfalls falling from a height of about 1000 feet and provides a magnificent view. These waterfalls are surrounded by lush, dense forests that are home to a variety of animals and birds. It is one of the top waterfalls near Munnar. Though the falls are visible from the highway, it demands a good amount of trekking to reach the bottom of the falls. The surrounding places of the Valara Falls are good for trekking. The falls offer spectacular views in monsoon and post-monsoon seasons. Cheeyappara waterfalls The Cheeyappara Waterfall cascades down in seven steps. This is also a great place for trekking. Amp: Tea Plantations Visit a tea factory, learn how tea is being made.     Day 2: Munnar After breakfast proceeds for sightseeing of Munnar. Mattupetty dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Pothenmedu View Point, Blossom Park etc are some of the highlights of the sightseeing. Shopping & overnight stay at Munnar. Echo Point People usually come across Echo Point while making the trip to Top Station, the highest point (1700m) in Munnar, on the Munnar-Kodaikanal road. Here the clouds seem like they are just an arm’s length away and one gets a brilliant view of the valley below. This is also a prime viewing spot for the Neelakurinji (Strobilantheskunthianus), flowers which bloom once every twelve years Kundala Dam Kundala is a picturesque place, about 20 km from Munnar on the way to Top Station. The famous Neela Kurunji flowers which bloom once in twelve years, bloom in the hills and valleys around Kundala lake.
